Shlome is a Yiddish form of Shlomo, the Hebrew name of King Solomon, which comes from shalom and means "peace". It is used almost exclusively in Hasidic and other Orthodox Jewish communities, which is why most of its births are recorded in New York and New Jersey. Shlome stood at number 3894 in 2000, has moved between number 3000 and number 4500 since and reaches its best rank in 2025 at number 2929 with 43 births.
