Shlomo is the Hebrew form of Solomon, the name of the biblical king famous for his wisdom; it comes from shalom and means "peace" or "peaceful". In the United States the name is used almost exclusively by Orthodox Jewish families, who often call their sons Shloimy. Shlomo has sat just outside the top 1000 for two decades, entered it at number 965 in 2024 and ranks number 1049 in 2025.
