Shulem is the Yiddish form of Shalom, the Hebrew word for "peace" that also serves as a greeting. It is used almost exclusively in Hasidic communities, especially in New York, where traditional Yiddish names are passed down from grandfathers to grandsons. Shulem ranked number 3409 in 2000, reached its best position at number 1772 in 2023 and stands at number 1957 in 2025.
