Isadora is a variant of Isidora, the feminine form of the Greek Isidoros, which means "gift of Isis", after the Egyptian goddess. Dancer Isadora Duncan, who freed modern dance from ballet's rules, is the name's most famous bearer, and the spelling with an a is the one she used. Isadora has risen from number 3,296 in 2000 to a best rank of number 1,226 in 2024 and ranks number 1,265 in 2025.
