Oziel is the Spanish form of the biblical Uzziel, a Hebrew name meaning "God is my strength". It is used mostly in Mexican and Central American families and shares the soft -iel ending of Uriel and Azriel. In the United States Oziel sat around number 2000 for most of the 2010s, climbed to number 1065 in 2024 and entered the top 1000 for the first time in 2025, at number 997.
