Neriah is a Hebrew name that means "lamp of God" or "light of the Lord". In the Bible it belongs to a man, the father of Baruch, the scribe of the prophet Jeremiah, but its -iah ending has led American parents to use it for daughters, alongside Zariah and Moriah. Neriah entered the US top 1000 for girls in 2022 and has climbed to number 762 in 2025, its best rank so far.
