Nariah is a modern American name of uncertain origin, usually explained as a feminine take on the Hebrew Neriah, "lamp of God", or as Mariah with a new first letter; the Arabic Nariyah, "fiery", is another possible source. It belongs to the broad family of -iah names like Zariah and Amariah. Nariah peaked at number 1145 in the United States in 2009 and stands at number 1607 in 2025.
