Azariah is a Hebrew name that means "Yahweh has helped", from azar, "to help", and Yah, the name of God. The Bible has several bearers, among them a king of Judah and one of Daniel's three companions, who is better known by his Babylonian name Abednego. In the United States Azariah entered the top 1000 for boys in 2013 and has risen from the 700s to number 472 in 2025, its best rank so far.
