Maisey is a spelling variant of Maisie, the Scottish pet form of Mairead or Margaret, which goes back to the Greek margarites and means "pearl". Maisie has been a British favorite for years, and the -ey spelling gives the name a slightly more American look. Maisey ranked number 7418 in 2000, rose to number 2204 in 2023 and reaches number 1938 in 2025, its best rank so far.
