Liora is a modern Hebrew name made of li, "to me", and ora, "light", so it means "my light" or "I have light". It became popular in Israel in the 20th century and is increasingly chosen by Jewish families in the United States, often alongside the boys' name Lior. Liora rose from number 3048 in 2015 to number 1634 in 2024 and entered the top 1000 for the first time in 2025 at number 900.
