Eliora is a Hebrew name made of eli, "my God", and ora, "light", so it means "my God is light" or "God is my light". It is a modern Israeli creation of the 20th century and is gaining ground among American families who like the sound of Eliana and Liora. Eliora rose from number 2199 in 2015 to number 1309 in 2024 and entered the top 1000 for the first time in 2025 at number 914.
