Leora is a Hebrew name, a form of Liora, that means "my light" or simply "light"; in English it has also been used as a short form of Leonora. It is a gentle vintage choice in Jewish families with the Nora sound that parents love today. Leora stood at number 2656 in 2000, has risen slowly since and ranks number 1356 in 2025, its best rank to date.
