Kyzen is a modern American coinage that pairs the trendy Ky- opening of Kyson and Kyler with the -zen ending of Zen; some parents link it to the Japanese business term kaizen, "continuous improvement", while others simply like the sharp sound. It has no traditional meaning. Kyzen was virtually unused in 2015, broke into the top 2000 in 2022, peaked at number 1490 in 2024 and ranks number 1774 among boys' names in 2025.
