Arlet is a Spanish-style spelling of the French Arlette, a medieval name of uncertain origin that is usually read as a pet form linked to the Germanic element hari, "army". Its best-known bearer is Herleva or Arlette, the mother of William the Conqueror, and in the US it is chosen mostly by Spanish-speaking families. Arlet was number 1671 in 2016, entered the top 1000 in 2022, peaked at 603 in 2023 and ranks 642 in 2025.
