Arlett is a streamlined spelling of the French Arlette, a name of uncertain origin that is usually explained as a feminine form of Germanic names built on arn, "eagle". Arlette was the name of the mother of William the Conqueror, and the modern spellings Arlett and Arleth are especially popular in Mexican American families. Arlett has climbed steeply in the United States, from number 4417 in 2015 to number 1085 in 2025, its highest rank yet.
