Amorah is a modern elaboration of Amora, which comes from the Spanish and Italian amor and means "love". The added h gives it the look of names like Sarah and Noorah, and it fits with other love-themed names such as Amoura and Adora. Amorah was too rare to be recorded in the United States in 2000; it climbed from number 4408 in 2015 to number 1893 in 2020 and stood at number 2276 in 2025.
