Alorah is a modern American spelling of Alora, a name of uncertain origin that is usually explained as an elaboration of Lora and Laura, from the Latin laurus, "laurel", the tree of victory. The added h echoes Norah and Sarah. Alorah has climbed from number 6472 in 2015 to number 2214 in 2025, its best rank so far, with 83 girls given the name.
