Yaziel is a modern name from Spanish-speaking communities, usually read as a Spanish form of the biblical Jahaziel, "God sees", or as a coinage that joins the Ya- sound of Yahir and Yadiel to the Hebrew ending -iel. It belongs to a family of melodic names that are popular with Puerto Rican and Mexican-American parents. Yaziel has risen from number 4175 in 2015 to number 2387 in 2025, its best US rank to date.
