Jaziel is a Hebrew name, written Jaaziel in the Book of Chronicles for a Levite musician in the temple of King David, and it means "God strengthens" or "strengthened by God". With its soft -iel ending it belongs to the same family as Gabriel, Uriel and Aziel, and it is used above all by Hispanic families in the United States. Jaziel entered the US top 1000 in 2015 and has climbed every year since, from number 936 that year to number 198 in 2025.
