Yasmin is the Persian and Arabic form of Jasmine and means "jasmine flower", the fragrant white blossom that gave its name to the perfume plant across the Middle East and India. It is a classic across the Muslim world and in Latin America, where it is spelled Yasmín or Jazmín, and in the United States it is also popular with Hispanic families. Yasmin peaked at number 324 in 2006, drifted in and out of the US top 1000 in the late 2010s and ranks number 959 in 2025.
