Wynter is a modern spelling of Winter, the English season name that goes back to a Germanic word for the "wet season" or simply "winter". The y gives the cool nature name a touch of old-fashioned flair in the manner of Wren and Wylder. Wynter entered the US top 1000 in 2013, rose quickly to a peak of number 343 in 2021 and ranks number 457 in 2025.
