Tytus is the Polish form of Titus, a Roman given name of uncertain origin that is traditionally explained as "title of honor" or linked to the Latin for "defender". Saint Titus was a companion of the apostle Paul. In the United States the Polish spelling has had a modest run: it stood at number 5891 in 2000, peaked at number 1675 in 2012 and has eased back to number 2935 in 2025.
