Thalia comes from the Greek thallein, to flourish, and means "blooming" or "flourishing". In Greek mythology Thalia was the Muse of comedy and also one of the three Graces, and the Mexican singer Thalía carried the name across Latin America. In the United States Thalia has been in the top 1000 since 2000, peaked at number 570 in 2023 and ranks 648 in 2025.
