Natalia comes from the Latin natalis and means "birthday", originally the Lord's birthday: it was given to girls born at Christmas. The name is beloved in Spanish-, Italian- and Russian-speaking families alike. In the United States Natalia rose from number 220 in 2000 into the top 100 in 2006, peaked at number 79 in 2021 and ranks 144th in 2025.
