Talayah is a modern American name, usually read as an elaboration of Talia, which in Hebrew means "dew from God" and in Greek goes back to Thalia, "to blossom". The -ayah ending follows the pattern of Aaliyah and gives it a lilting, four-syllable sound. Talayah has climbed from around number 3400 among US girls in the mid-2010s to number 2814 in 2025, its best rank to date.
