Solenne is a French name derived from the Latin sollemnis, meaning "solemn" or "ceremonial", the word used for festive religious celebrations. It is a cousin of the better-known Solène and of Solange, a medieval saint of central France. Practically unknown in the United States a decade ago, Solenne has jumped from number 4283 in 2024 to number 2382 in 2025, its best rank so far.
