Miklo is a short, Americanized form of Miklos, the Hungarian version of Nicholas, which comes from the Greek Nikolaos and means "victory of the people". In the United States the name owes most of its use to Miklo Velka, the lead character in the 1993 film Blood In Blood Out, which gave it a following among Mexican American families. Miklo has risen from number 5905 in 2015 to number 2378 in 2025, its best rank so far.
