Malakhi is a spelling variant of Malachi, the Hebrew name Mal'akhi, which means "my messenger" or "my angel" and belongs to the last of the Old Testament prophets. The kh in this version mirrors the Hebrew pronunciation more closely and matches the trend toward distinctive spellings of biblical names. Malakhi cracked the US top 1000 just once, at number 921 in 2019, and has since eased back to number 1439 in 2025.
