Jonah is the Hebrew Yonah and means "dove". The prophet Jonah, swallowed by a great fish for three days, is one of the best-known figures of the Old Testament, and the name has grown with the taste for soft biblical choices such as Micah and Ezra. Jonah ranked number 192 in 2000 and number 143 in 2015, reached number 124 in 2023 and stands at number 128 in 2025.
