Jireh is taken from the biblical phrase Jehovah Jireh in Genesis 22, the name Abraham gives the place where God provides a ram in place of his son; it means "the Lord will provide" or, literally, "he will see". The name is popular in evangelical families and was boosted by the 2021 worship song of the same title. Jireh jumped from number 2783 in 2020 into the top 1000 in 2023, peaked at number 850 that year and ranks 881st in 2025.
