Jenesis is a modern American respelling of Genesis, the Greek word for "origin" or "birth" that names the first book of the Bible. The J spelling softens the name and ties it to Jen and Jenna. Jenesis entered the US top 1000 in 2018, peaked at number 654 in 2023 and ranks number 816 in 2025.
