Jaxx is a modern double-x spelling of Jax, the short form of Jackson and Jaxon, "son of Jack", and Jack in turn goes back to John, "God is gracious". The short form took off after Jax Teller, the lead character of the TV series Sons of Anarchy. Jaxx entered the US top 1000 in 2017, peaked at number 782 in 2019 and has slipped back to number 1102 in 2025.
