Jaxon is a modern American respelling of Jackson, the surname meaning "son of Jack"; Jack in turn comes from John, "God is gracious". The x gives the classic name a sharper, more contemporary look. Jaxon ranked number 477 in 2000, entered the top 100 in 2010 and peaked at number 39 in 2018, and in 2025 it stands at number 115.
