Javon is a modern American name that combines the popular Ja- prefix with the ending of Devon; it is also spelled like the biblical Javan, a grandson of Noah whose name means "Greece" in Hebrew, and is often read as "young" by way of the Latin juvenis. Former NFL receiver Javon Walker is a well-known bearer. Javon ranked number 371 in 2000, peaked at 357 in 2001, left the top 1000 in 2018 and ranks 1198 in 2025.
