Jahziel is a form of the Hebrew Jahaziel, which means "God sees" or "beheld by God"; in the Second Book of Chronicles Jahaziel is a Levite who prophesies victory for King Jehoshaphat. The compact spelling is used mainly by Spanish-speaking families, alongside names such as Yadiel and Jaziel.
