Ivana is the Slavic feminine form of Ivan, the Russian and South Slavic John, so it means "God is gracious". It is popular in Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and in the United States it became widely known through Ivana Trump in the 1980s. Ivana ranked number 864 in 2000, its best year in this century, and has stayed just outside the top 1000 since, at number 1102 in 2025.
