Caliana is a modern American coinage that extends Cali, the nickname for California, or the Greek root kalos, "beautiful", with the flowing -ana ending of Juliana and Eliana. It has no traditional history and is often spelled Kaliana. Caliana had fewer than five births in 2000, drifted between numbers 2500 and 4200 through the 2010s, peaked at number 2042 in 2024 and sits at number 2656 in 2025 with 65 girls.
