Azaiah is a modern American form of the biblical Azariah, a Hebrew name that means "God has helped" or "Yahweh has helped". It trims the old name to the rhythm of Isaiah and Josiah, which explains much of its appeal. Azaiah entered the US top 1000 in 2024 and ranks number 749 in 2025, its best rank so far, after sitting far outside the list at number 1746 as recently as 2020.
