Zekiel is a shortened form of Ezekiel, the Hebrew name of the Old Testament prophet, which means "God strengthens" or "God will strengthen". Dropping the first syllable gives a name that keeps the biblical weight and ends in the breezy nickname Zeke. Zekiel has improved from number 3512 among US boys in 2015 to number 2345 in 2023 and ranks 2797 in 2025.
