Zayvian is a modern American coinage that blends Zavier, a spelling of Xavier, with the -vian ending of Octavian or Vivian; Xavier itself comes from the Basque place name Etxeberria, "new house". It belongs to a cluster of inventive Z-names like Zavion, Zaylen and Zayden. Zayvian peaked at number 2,522 in 2021 and ranks number 2,716 among boys in 2025, with 48 births.
