Xaden is a modern American name that gives the popular Aiden and Zayden pattern an eye-catching X; it has no traditional meaning and is best read as a fresh take on "little fire", the usual gloss of the Irish Aidan. The name owes its sudden rise to Xaden Riorson, the brooding love interest in Rebecca Yarros's 2023 bestseller Fourth Wing. In the United States Xaden ranked number 7701 in 2023, leapt to number 2188 in 2024 and reached number 1420 in 2025.
