Tymir is a modern American coinage that joins the Ty- of Tyler and Tyrese with the ending -mir of Amir and Jamir; through that ending it is often given the sense of "prince", the meaning of the Arabic Amir. It is used mainly in African American families on the East Coast. Tymir climbed from number 3080 in 2015 to number 1175 in 2024 and ranks number 1527 in 2025.
