Saveah is a modern American coinage of "uncertain origin"; it is usually read as a respelling of the Spanish word savia, "sap" or life force, or as a blend of Savannah and Nevaeh, whose -eah ending it borrows. The name has appeared only in small numbers since the 2010s and its ranking has swung widely from year to year. In 2025 Saveah jumped from number 6889 to number 2509 among girls' names, its best rank so far, with 71 births.
