Riggin is a surname-style name of uncertain origin; it is usually explained as a form of the Irish Regan, from Ó Riagáin, "little king", and the related surname Riggins is familiar to football fans from the Friday Night Lights character Tim Riggins. It fits the rugged Western sound of Ryker and Stetson. Riggin stood at number 3350 in 2015, peaked at number 2268 in 2023 and sits at number 2977 in 2025.
