Ridge is the English word used as a name, a long "ridge" of hills or a mountain crest, from the Old English hrycg, back. It has the rugged, outdoorsy feel of Colt and Ryder, and soap fans know it from Ridge Forrester, a lead character on The Bold and the Beautiful since 1987. Ridge entered the US top 1000 in 2015 and has climbed from number 937 to number 530 in 2025, after a peak of number 505 in 2023.
