Raelyn is a modern American blend of Rae, the short form of Rachel, "ewe", and the ending -lyn, following the pattern of Kaylyn and Brooklyn. It carries no older history, but the sound of Rae on its own has made it a favorite in the South and Midwest. Raelyn entered the US top 1000 in 2009, peaked at number 316 in 2017 and has eased down to number 502 in 2025.
