Paisleigh is an elaborated spelling of Paisley, the Scottish town that gave its name to the teardrop pattern; the place name is usually traced through Old Irish baslec to the Latin basilica, so it means "church". The -leigh ending follows the fashion of Everleigh and Oakleigh. Paisleigh entered the US top 1000 in 2017, peaked at number 777 in 2018 and ranks number 1045 in 2025.
