Nayla is an Arabic name, from Na'ila, meaning "one who attains" or "achiever", from the verb nala, to obtain. Naila bint al-Furafisa, wife of the caliph Uthman, is remembered as an early bearer, and the name is widespread from Lebanon to Indonesia. In the United States Nayla has moved between number 1250 and 1500 for a decade and reached number 1078 in 2025, its highest rank so far.
