Navie is a modern American coinage that works as a pet form of Nevaeh, the backward spelling of "heaven", or of the color name Navy, and it also echoes the Hebrew word navi, "prophet". It belongs to the wave of soft two-syllable girls' names ending in -ie that followed Evie and Elsie. Navie had fewer than five births in 2000, rose quickly through the 2010s to a peak at number 2246 in 2021 and ranks number 2638 in 2025 with 66 girls.
