Mayleigh is a modern American blend of May and the fashionable -leigh ending, as in Kayleigh and Everleigh. May itself is the name of the "month of May", once a short form of Mary or Margaret, so the name reads as light and springlike. Mayleigh has hovered in the 3000s for a decade and ranks number 2400 in 2025, its best US rank so far.
